Self-Employed Persons

Self-employed immigrants are those who have experience in working on their own and show that they have the intention and ability to continue doing so after arrival in Canada. Like the Investor and Entrepreneur Programs, the Self-Employed Program is also offered in two separate streams: one for Quebec and one for the other provinces in Canada (Federal).

The Federal Self-Employed Program is limited in scope to people who can have a significant contribution to the athletic and cultural life on a world-class level in Canada, as well as experience in managing a farm; but the Self-Employed Program for the province of Quebec accepts self-employed persons in all occupations.
